This course is run over two days and is suitable for staff who are undertaking or planning to undertake an improvement project. Topics covered over the two days include:

  • Introduction to Human Factors/Ergonomics and Quality Improvement

  • Patient safety

  • Teamwork and communication

  • Human Factors methods

  • Running an improvement project

  • PDCA/PDSA cycles

  • Implementing change

  • Data and measurement(using data to improve your systems)

  • Designing solutions

  • Strengths and weaknesses of solutions
